Antoine's article "Norway's response to Ebola: Mingling altruistic and security concerns" addresses Norway's contribution to fighting the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in 2014, and is based on his master's thesis.

He wrote the thesis while student at the Centre for Development and the Environment at the University of Oslo. In the article, he also explores the role of the Ebola outbreak as a media event in shaping the Norwegian response to the epidemic.

According to the committee, the article is impressive, using Norway as a case to address an emerging international field of study. It provides a solid empirical contribution, far beyond the research front on a topic that is also relevant to Norwegian health and foreign policy.
