Planning of a research school in global health

The Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research has initiated a discussion between the universities with activities in global health research to develop a proposal of a national research school in global health.  In February 2008 the Forum in a letter to the units for global health research at the universities of Tromsø, Oslo and Bergen, asked these institutions to take the initiative further.    Letter to the universities in Tromsø Oslo and Bergen 25 February 2008 regarding the research school

Research Council of Norway:  Call for applications to establish national research schools

In 2007, the board of the the Norwegian Forum of Global Health Research initiated the discussion on establishing a research school in global health.

Funding of the NOMA programme 

In February 2007 the Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research wrote a letter to Universitets- og Høgskolerådet (UHR) regarding the funding of the NOMA programme.

The background was that several "NOMA winners" found themselves in a difficult situation because of the limited funding to the North partners.
